Looking for a birthday party idea that's a little bit different? At Shadz Cakes, children get to step into the role of cake decorator — guided by Shadé, a qualified teacher with over 15 years of baking experience.

Choose from three workshop options: cupcakes, iced biscuits, or mini cakes. Every guest decorates their own creation, learns real techniques, and goes home with a box of edible masterpieces they made themselves. One lucky guest even gets crowned Star Decorator on the day!

Workshops  and can be hosted at a venue of your choice across Glasgow, East Renfrewshire and Ayrshire — church halls, function suites and community spaces all work brilliantly.

🧁 Cupcake Decorating Party​

Duration: 90 minutes  |  Ages 6+

The perfect mix of fun, creativity and delicious results. Each child learns modern buttercream piping techniques and decorates a box of 6 cupcakes to take home and show off.

  • Step-by-step piping demonstration by Shadé

  • Guided decorating time for every guest

🍪 Iced Biscuit Decorating Party

Duration: 90 minutes  |  Ages 8+

A gorgeous, creative workshop where children learn the art of royal icing — outlining, flooding and decorating biscuits in a theme of their choice. From pop icons to animals, sports to spa days, the theme is entirely up to them.

 

Every party includes:

  • Demonstration of outlining and flood icing techniques
